My First Step Toward Success

I had been thinking of starting my own business for a log time. I had lots of ideas in my mind but my financial conditions and responsibilities were pulling me back from moving forward with my dreams. My family is a working class family, and no one has ever got into any type of business ever. Whenever I discussed my desire to start a business with my family, I faced opposition. As they are doing their 9-5 jobs and are happy with whatever they have achieved in life, they suggested me to follow the same route.

After Completing my Bachelors Degree in Engineering, I landed a job as a Trainee Engineer in a company. While working at my first job, i always had a feeling that I had no interest in whatever I was doing. While sitting at my desk I was always thinking about a business idea. There were lots of ideas coming to me everyday, but i did not worked on any of that.Then I left my job and got admission into an MBA Program, as I had finally decided that I will definitely be getting into business, so maybe an MBA can help in that.

Getting an MBA Degree was a good idea. After completing my degree, i got a very good job offer, which I accepted because by that time I had been got into financial obligations. So to make both ends meet, I kept on working at that job for 2 years. But I was never satisfied with my job, as I always felt that My mind is not been programmed for a 9-5 job. My dreams were much higher than what I can achieve by working for someone else. Still, everything was going smoothly, and one day i got a layoff notice from my employer. They had been downsizing the company because of Budget cuts and 200 people were used as a scapegoat to meet their financial responsibilities.

This was a big shock for me, as I had been working with this company for 2 years and had a very good reputation and was among star employees because of performance.  I started my “Well Educated Unemployed Person’s” life. I am a strong believer in God and I always believe that “whatever happens in our life is for our own good”. Well this time I decided that rather than looking for a job again, I will work on my idea, and will start my own business. As i had saved money for 1 year expenses, it was a better time than before to start working on my dream.

I created a business plan and my business idea was appreciated by everybody whomever i discussed with. By this time, its been 1st month of myself working on my business idea, and I am getting very positive response from my family and friends. I will be launching my business in next two months . I will document my struggle for achieving my business goals in this blog.
